Lovejoy, Caden

Mr. Lovejoy spent his childhood in a small town in Massachusetts, and came to New York City to attend Columbia University. While knowing he wanted to enter the field of education, upon first completing college, he felt it important to pursue other learning opportunities. This included apprenticing as a sound engineer and carpenter, interning at The Nation magazine, and working in the labor movement for over 8 years to support hotel and laundry workers organizing for justice and dignity. After experiencing the power of community organizing to achieve social change, he wanted to bring this perspective to working in education. Mr. Lovejoy earned a Masters of Education in English Adolescent Education and British and American Literature at Hunter College and spent the first five years of his teaching career at a public high school in Brooklyn.

Mr. Lovejoy is excited to join the UNMS community in the Fall of 2016.
