Ms. Wanda Cook

Ms. Wanda M. Cook is the SAPIS counselor at UMNS. She graduated from Audrey Cohen College and Metropolitan College. She has a bachelor’s degree in Humanities and specialized in Social Services Counseling. Her master's degree is in Public Administration.

Ms. Cook is a founding parent at UNMS. Her daughter is a member of the graduating class of 2006. Ms. Cook also served as the PTA president for two years at UMNS. She has served children as a counselor for over 25 years.

Ms. Cook believes that children are precious gifts and we have to take care of them as special cargo. She provides classroom presentations, group counseling, individualized services, and she facilitates a wonderful peer leadership group. These services prepare middle school students for high school and beyond. Many of our alumni return and serve their communities. She loves being part of the C.A.R.E.S. team at UNMS. She also loves that our students enjoy being part of our community.

Ms. Cook has a member of the UNMS community since 2004.
